	After a few minutes Marina comes back to collect Evan and he meets the boss of the casino, Lucifer. The boss shows Evan great sympathy and offers him a deal to prolong his time for a greater chance to remember who he is. Evan agrees and signs a contract to become a mercenary for the devil. Evan is then given a sword with two bells attached at the handle with the advice that if he plays his cards right he can keep it sheathed. He is then taken to meet the rest of the staff of the casino and is welcomed warmly. He talks to everyone and gets to learn about their jobs and professions. While talking with the staff, Lucifer comes to collect Evan. He takes the teen to the basement where Cela resides. She severs the ties Evan's soul has to earth and rewires the tie to the Earthbound. With this Evan can freely travel between realms like heaven, hell or earth. This severing takes a lot of energy out of Evan and causes him to pass out. As safety precaution he is placed onto the couch in the staff lounge back on the first floor. Kimmy is tasked with watching over Evan while he recovers. 			At the beginning of the story Evan wakes up in a subway cart. He is extremely confused as to why he was there in the first place. Getting out of the subway cart and ascending a staircase led Evan to a casino worker holding a sign with his name on it. Evan proceeds to follow the worker from the subway station to the GLM Casino where he meets Marina, the manager of the casino. In a breakdown Evan questions why he was there because he remembers being dead. Evan has massive gaps in his memory about his person, only remembering rudimentary things. Getting comforted and escorted to a VIP room by Marina, Evan breaks down further and crying at the overwhelming situation.

			== Physical appearance ==
			Evan is a decently tall young man with slightly tan skin and reddish brown hair. He has rounded cheeks and a soft chin but a sharp jaw bone. His eyes are bicolored; the base is brown with green towards the iris.

			His hair has rounded spikes and is longer on the top. The sides are kept shaven.

			Evan has a few distinctive scars on his body. He has a surgical scar on his right thigh, a scoliosis surgery scar on his spine and self harm scars on his left arm. Notably is the big cut along the length of his left forearm, it is orthogonal to the other self harm scars which appear more faded.

			He also wears a few piercings; on his ears he has the first lobe pierced with a black stud put in. He has a black ring as a labret piercing in his lip. Evan also has a tongue piercing with a small silver bar with rounded studs on the ends.

			His wardrobe consists of warm greys and muted colors. He wears ripped jeans, black leather boots, an off-white t-shirt, a grey sweater jacket atop the t-shirt and a black leather jacket over the sweater jacket.

			After transforming into a demon Evan becomes taller, heavier and more muscular. His human soul manifests as a necklace with a light blue gem embedded into a silver base. The necklace hangs at a black string. Evan also gains a tail after the transformation which protrudes from his back at the lumbar vertebrae L5. The tail is the same color as his hair.

			After transforming Evan wears more colorful clothing with the colors leaning more into blue and bluish-grey hues. He does not wear any brightly colored clothes and tends to steer away from warm colors.

			His irises have become thin slits after transforming and they gained a light blue outline as well. With the thinner irises Evan's eyes appear more green than when he was human. The amount of green in his eye color has remained the same however.
